Some policies will pay for your pet to be seen by a behaviourist providing they are referred by a vet.
Be careful of the small print you may find that this is restricted to therapy required as a result an accident or illness which is covered by the policy.
Most policies will not pay for behavioural treatment which is required as a result of you failing to train your dog. Some policies refer to behavioural illness whereas others refer “a change to your pet’s normal mental or emotional state”.
If covered, there is usually a separate limit for behavioural therapy. This is usually part of the vet fees limit.
