Coverage and Benefits
The company offers 4 types of pet insurances comprising lifetime policies, time limited policies, per condition policies and accident only policies.
The Lifetime Insurance policy for dogs, cat, and rabbits comprises 2 levels, respectively Agria Lifetime and Agria Lifetime Plus and additional options.
The basic cover, which is cheaper, includes a £6,500 coverage, reward, and advertising of up to £1,000, accommodation and travel in value of £300, standard excess of £95 or £160 and public liability up to £2 million.
But, the Plus level, which is more expensive, offers a £12,500 coverage, reward and advertising up to £1,500, travel and accommodation of up to £300, a £25 voucher for vaccination, standard excess of £95 or £160, and public liability of up to £3 million.
Both levels offer free access to the 24/7 Pet Health helpline and free recovery services at Pet24. And, you can add extra options such as overseas travel, death and loss, breeding risks, boarding fees, and additional excess amounts.
The 12-months limited policies provide coverage up to a specific value or period for each diagnosed condition. The standard period is 12 months from when the conditions showed symptoms or started to be treated.
The per condition Agria policies offer coverage up to a specific value of money for every condition which is diagnosed. When you’ve exceeded the limit, you can’t make any additional claims for that condition.
And, accident only Agria policies offer coverage up to a determined amount or period for injuries caused by accidents. But you cannot make a claim for any illnesses.
Claiming the Insurance
Agria has simplified the insurance claim process. It involves filling out a form which you can download from the company’s website or you can request it by email via claims[at]agriapet.co.uk.
Once you’ve included the required details in the form, ask your veterinary to fill in the necessary sections. Attach any bills for treatments and your pet’s medical records and send it by mail to Agria Pet Insurance Limited, PO Box 506, Manchester, M288EN.
After the claim has been examined, you will receive a cheque for the owed amounts. Although the company doesn’t have as many claim channels as others, the procedure is straightforward and streamlined.
