Policies
Helpucover have a good range of policies including a lifetime policy with £6,500 annual cover. However some of the policies have more than one limit which some pet owners may find confusing.
Benefits and Small Print
Helpucover’ policies include cover for euthanasia, limited prescription food and dental treatment (for both illnesses and accidents).
The death or loss benefit payable is based on the purchase price of your pet (rather than market value and/or use of a sliding scale).
In our opinion the small print is “clean” by which we mean we found very few other non-standard exclusions.
Renewal Premiums
We have not been able to find much feedback about Helpucover renewal premium increases and therefore have given a neutral rating of 1.5.
Customer Service
Not have we been able to find much feedback about customer service. So this has also been awarded a neutral rating of 1.5. More about Helpucover Pets’ customer reviews.
Excess and Contribution
The fixed excess is high at £60 for cats (lower than average) and £90 for dogs (higher than average). You do not though have to pay a percentage of the vet fees until your pet is 8 years old.
